New CD for a New Season (No really, a new season.) - November 12, 2007
Hello All, I haven't written in a while. But I wanted to let everyone know that God is given the go ahead for the next CD, which will be without a doubt-LIVE!!!
I'm excited about new relationships and a fresh sound that will God will create through this next project. I've learned sooooo much from the previous one, both good and bad. I can't wait to tackle this challenge, once again.
So please pray for your girl, and ask God to continue to send the songs and the resources to birth this project.

AUDITIONS!!! - January 5, 2007
I'm excited about the upcoming auditions, because I need help!
God spoke in November 2006, to "Prepare for the harvest" and this is a part of that preparation.
You know, I was watching Oprah (yes, I watch the O' every now and then) she stated something that triggered a "selah" (a reflective moment) in me. She went on a tangent about how she doesn't believe in luck, but feels that the moments that alter our lives are created when preparation and opportunity meet. I'm thinking, whoa, this is what God is speaking to me about.
"PREPARE FOR THE HARVEST"
And with these auditions this is what The Levels Group is doing. I don't want to miss out on anything God has for us. So, I forward this word to you. "Prepare for the harvest". You know who you are and you know how you've sown over the years. So get ready, prepare and allow the favour of the Lord to shower you!
Blessings on the rest of your year...
Soulyfe Cafe' - December 30, 2006
Whoa! It's Saturday morning and I have a headache. I think I'm experiencing a holyghost hangover! Yesterday Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, in Pittsburgh PA, had their first Soulyfe Cafe'. It was outstanding!!!
The Soulyfe Cafe' is a young adult sponsored event that will occur evey last Friday of each month. It's a consortium of artist from jazz to gospel, from poetry to comedy.
I had to give a shout out because, this is definitely an event worth being a part of.
The next Soulyfe Cafe will be Friday, January 26, at 9pm. Be there! (I will.)
A Fresh Look at Worship: Are we Worshipping "Worship"? - September 16, 2006
I've been feeling rather weird lately...I know "weird" may not be the best way of articulating my feelings and thoughts but I've been feeling very uncomfortable during times of worship.
What's that all about, you may ask? I feel that God has been revealing to me that the "church" has become accustomed to the usual packaging of worship and thus not really giving God the opportunity through faith to do greater things.
**Sidebar thought** For me worship isn't just a song, but a lifestyle of obedience and intimacy with God.**
Anyway, I feel that the body of Christ is becoming too comfortable with the standard Sunday morning set-up. For example, 2 fast songs and 1 slow song for praise and worship. Worship is not a song. Worship is a spirit. Worship is that moment of pressing into and sensing God's presence, knowing He is "here" and responding to Him. And you know what? When God shows up nothing is impossible to those who believe (Mark 9:23).
**Sidebar thought**This is my definition of a song that evokes the spirit of worship: This type of song is a descriptive art of melodies used in an attempt to articulate how awesome our God is, in which at times can become prophetic and spiritually impulsive. There are countless moments in the bible when a song is used for victory, spiritual warfare, and celebration.***
I believe that God wants to move more radically during our cummunal times of worship and that the packaging of our worhip services have become old, and misused to the point of people worshipping the symptoms of worship (i.e. the emotionalism that may slip in every now and then) rather than the underlying cause which is Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Our worship services have become predictable and ordinary, but the object of our worship (God/Jesus) is unpredictable and extraordinary! It just seems unparelled and that God would have more for us.
Ask yourself, whether you're a worship leader, usher, pastor, whatever your role is in the body of Christ what can we do to allow God's free reign during our cummunal worship time? Let's re-evaluate our services and ask God to reveal the areas that we have packaged so nicely and beautifully that we've even bound the hands of God! I'm tired of the packaging of worship as usual and am looking for something fresh from the Lord. Aren't you?
Now, let me say this, I have fallen victim to the "worshipping worship" syndrome and am in no way pointing fingers. I believe our present communal times of worship can be a spiritually rejuvenating time, but God wants to do more. Just as the shift from our standard "devotion/testimony services" (remember those-smile) to our modern-day "praise and worship" God wants to take us to a place in our communal worship where deliverance takes place, demons are expelled, people are getting healed from diseases, and souls are restored through forgiveness (this list is in no way exhaustive). I must say, I have seen these things take place but these miracles are far and in between. God wants these miracles during worship to be commonplace. (Huh, imagine that "Miracle Worship".) This is the heart of God and the next phase he wants to take the body of Christ.
So let's press in, fast, pray, have faith and ask God for revelation to this next phase. And remember the object of our worship should always be God and not the packaging of "worship". Do not allow God to become an accessory during worship. He is the reason, cause and effect of worship. Let us continue seeking to keep our worship experiences fresh, pure and on the edge of what God is doing.
Blessings, Anita
Shout Out! - June 15, 2006
I just wanted to give a shout out to the Kingdom People Family and its support throughout the years...D-Fuly (Dwayne Fulton) and everyone in the family who continue to support the KP agenda and that is to "Advance the Kingdom". To my hubby, you're the best. No one else could ever deal with me (except God-smile). Thanks for the encouraging messages on the guestbook...
